- karāla-daṁṣṭraś cakṣurbhyāṁ
- sañcakṣāṇo dahann iva
- abhiplutya sva-gadayā
- hato 'sīty āhanad dharim
karālafearful — fearful; daṁṣṭraḥhaving tusks — having tusks; cakṣurbhyāmwith both eyes — with both eyes; sañcakṣāṇaḥstaring — staring; dahanburning — burning; ivaas if — as if; abhiplutyaattacking — attacking; svawith his own club-gadayāwith his own club — with his own club; hataḥslain — slain; asiYou are — You are; itithus — thus; āhanatstruck — struck; harimat Hari — at Hari.
The demon, who had fearful tusks, stared at the Personality of Godhead as though to burn Him. Springing into the air, he aimed his mace at the Lord, exclaiming at the same time, "You are slain!"
