- antar-grāmeṣu mukhato
- vamantyo vahnim ulbaṇam
- sṛgālolūka-ṭaṅkāraiḥ
- praṇedur aśivaṁ śivāḥ
antaḥin the interior — in the interior; grāmeṣuin the villages — in the villages; mukhataḥfrom their mouths — from their mouths; vamantyaḥvomiting — vomiting; vahnimfire — fire; ulbaṇamfearful — fearful; sṛgālajackals — jackals; ulūkaowls — owls; ṭaṅkāraiḥwith their cries — with their cries; praṇeduḥcreated their respective vibrations — created their respective vibrations; aśivamportentously — portentously; śivāḥthe she-jackals — the she-jackals.
In the interior of the villages she-jackals yelled portentously, vomiting strong fire from their mouths, and jackals and owls also joined them with their cries.
