dehammaterial body — material body; caand — and; tamthat — that; nanot — not; caramaḥlast — last; sthitamsitting — sitting; utthitamrising — rising; vāor — or; siddhaḥthe realized soul — the realized soul; vipaśyatican conceive — can conceive; yataḥbecause — because; adhyagamathe has achieved — he has achieved; svahis real identity-rūpamhis real identity — his real identity; daivātaccording to destiny — according to destiny; upetamarrived — arrived; athamoreover — moreover; daivaaccording to destiny-vaśātaccording to destiny — according to destiny; apetamdeparted — departed; vāsaḥclothing — clothing; yathāas — as; parikṛtamput on — put on; madirāone who is blinded by intoxication-madaone who is blinded by intoxication-andhaḥone who is blinded by intoxication — one who is blinded by intoxication.
Because he has achieved his real identity, the perfectly realized soul has no conception of how the material body is moving or acting, just as an intoxicated person cannot understand whether or not he has clothing on his body.
This stage of life is explained by Rūpa Gosvāmī in his Bhakti-rasāmṛta-sindhu. A person whose mind is completely dovetailed with the desire of the Supreme Personality of Godhead, and who engages one hundred percent in the service of the Lord, forgets his material bodily demands.
