- manur uvāca
- ādeśe 'haṁ bhagavato
- varteyāmīva-sūdana
- sthānaṁ tv ihānujānīhi
- prajānāṁ mama ca prabho
manuḥŚrī Manu said uvācaŚrī Manu said — Śrī Manu said; ādeśeunder the order — under the order; ahamI — I; bhagavataḥof your powerful self — of your powerful self; varteyashall stay — shall stay; amīvaO killer of all sins-sūdanaO killer of all sins — O killer of all sins; sthānamthe place — the place; tubut — but; ihain this world — in this world; anujānīhiplease let me know — please let me know; prajānāmof the living entities born from me — of the living entities born from me; mamamy — my; caalso — also; prabhoO lord — O lord.
Śrī Manu said: O all-powerful lord, O killer of all sins, I shall abide by your order. Now please let me know my place and that of the living entities born of me.
