- pratiśrutaṁ ca bhavatā
- pāñcālyai śṛṇvato mama
- āhariṣye śiras tasya
- yas te mānini putra-hā
pratiśrutamit is promised — it is promised; caand — and; bhavatāby you — by you; pāñcālyaiunto the daughter of the King of Pāñcāla (Draupadī) — unto the daughter of the King of Pāñcāla (Draupadī); śṛṇvataḥwhich was heard — which was heard; mamaby Me personally — by Me personally; āhariṣyemust I bring — must I bring; śiraḥthe head — the head; tasyaof him — of him; yaḥwhom — whom; teyour — your; māniniconsider — consider; putrathe killer of your sons-hāthe killer of your sons — the killer of your sons.
Furthermore, I have personally heard you promise Draupadī that you would bring forth the head of the killer of her sons.
