- अस्माकं तु विशिष्टा ये तान्निबोध द्विजोत्तम ।
- नायका मम सैन्यस्य संज्ञार्थं तान्ब्रवीमि ते ॥७॥
- asmākaṁ tu viśiṣṭā ye
- tān nibodha dvijottama
- nāyakā mama sainyasya
- saṁjñārthaṁ tān bravīmi te
asmākamour — our; tubut — but; viśiṣṭāḥespecially powerful — especially powerful; yewho — who; tānthem — them; nibodhajust take note of, be informed — just take note of, be informed; dvijaO best of the brāhmaṇas-uttamaO best of the brāhmaṇas — O best of the brāhmaṇas; nāyakāḥcaptains — captains; mamamy — my; sainyasyaof the soldiers — of the soldiers; saṁjñāfor information-arthamfor information — for information; tānthem — them; bravīmiI am speaking — I am speaking; teto you — to you.
But for your information, O best of the brāhmaṇas, let me tell you about the captains who are especially qualified to lead my military force.
