kharāś ca karkaśaiḥ kṣattaḥ khurair ghnanto dharā-talam khārkāra-rabhasā mattāḥ paryadhāvan varūthaśaḥ
Translation
O Vidura, the asses ran hither and thither in herds, striking the earth with their hard hooves and wildly braying.
